Founder – Dave Bick

In 2013, Dave’s previous employer decided to shut down the HVAC department. Dave being in his earlier 50’s decided with his wife Sandra to go all in and make their own Heating and Cooling company. In the process making BICK Heating and Cooling Inc., Sandra and Dave knew he had customers who liked him from his work quality, customer service and willingness to drop everything on a dime for home emergency services problems. He started out solo on the Field pulling Furnaces, A/C’s and more himself through all seasons of the year.

We're new to the city, and over the course of a few days Bick Heating and Cooling's staff showed its varied... capabilities and talents to help upgrade some needs in our home purchase. First, Andrew and Alex installed a new laundry tub, toilet, and faucet set. Next, Nick tested our current, but aged furnace and AC units. Stephen then quoted a range of replacement offers for air conditioning, while Kim arranged and coordinated not only these visits, BUT took information for a quote on electrical upgrades. The very next day, Andrew and Darren arrived to install a new RUUD 13 Seer AC unit, on a new concrete pad, and with upgraded lines and hoses (see photo). Many companies can do the work; many offices can do the paperwork, but few can do it with a professional attitude and decorum demonstrated by the staff from Bick Heating and Cooling. I'm sure that this business does good work, and they were highly recommended to me by multiple different people in town... but I have now had punctuality issues on two separate occasions with this company.I had an appointment today for 11am for routine maintenance on my furnace, I waited until 12pm for the technician to show before calling into main office where upon I received no answer, fair enough it is a common lunchtime hour. Upon calling back 30 mins later to cancel the now hour and half late appointment, the receptionist seemed to not notice that a message had been left, nor seemed remotely apologetic that the technician never showed up.All in all, very disappointed with Bick's, I will unfortunately have to take my business elsewhere moving forward.Edit: Moved down to one star because the owner couldn't be bothered to follow-up, despite the fact that they've responded to almost every other review that's been left.read more

After no sign of... them, we called and the receptionist had record of it, but said she couldn't send someone out and that it was the on call guy we spoke with. Dave Bick has looked after my heating/ cooling since he worked for Culliton’s many years ago,, and after he opened his... own business. Last Sunday my 25 year old furnace quit at 5 PM! By 8 AM Monday my indoor temperature was 12 Degrees Centigrade. I phoned Bick’’s. Tech Mike answered the phone, was at my house before 9:00. Fixed it for the day, warned me it was on its last legs, might not last. He was right, died again that night. Bick’s installed a new Ruud Furnace next morning. Three men on time, courteous, efficient. Installed new Ruud furnace and new sized vents to outside. No mess. Works like a charm!read more

We didn't want to compromise the majestic structure or building strength of a house built in the early 1900's. We called upon Dave and his team to provide cooling at the same time retaining our boiler and radiator heating system. Dave recommended and installed several units to cool both the second and first floors, using the attic to house some of the equipment, something I thought was very clever.
